Travelling the World for Piercing Conventions: Why It Matters

One of the most exciting parts of being a professional body piercer is the opportunity to connect with our global community. This year alone, I’ve had the privilege of travelling to India and Las Vegas for piercing conventions — and in October, I’ll be heading to Japan for another incredible event. Each of these trips has offered a unique experience: learning new techniques, sharing knowledge with peers, and exploring how different cultures approach the art of body piercing.

But it’s not just about travel and networking — it’s about raising the standards of safety and professionalism in our industry. By attending these conventions, I’m able to stay at the forefront of safe piercing practices, keep up to date with the latest sterilisation technology, and bring this knowledge back to my studio in Aberdeen!

I’m also proud to host the annual Piercer Trade Show in Liverpool every April, where we bring together some of the best piercers, suppliers, and educators from around the world. It’s an opportunity for UK professionals to access the same high-quality education and community that these international conventions provide.

Our commitment has always been clear: to ensure safe, informed, and beautiful body piercings for every client who walks through our doors. By learning from experts across the globe and sharing what we know in return, we help keep our community moving forward.
I am now back in the uk until October and appointments are available with myself at Utopia body arts! Click the booking link in our bio to book your app with me or Jordan.

If you’re in the industry — or simply passionate about safe and ethical body piercing — I encourage you to follow along on this journey. From Liverpool to Las Vegas, India to Japan, these conventions are more than events: they are how we grow together as professionals and as a community.
